'Celebrate Norwich Public Schools' Concert: Monday May 20

The Norwich Public Schools Education Foundation is pleased to announce the 'Celebrate Norwich Public Schools' Concert will take place on Monday, May 20 starting at 6pm at the beautiful Owens Auditorium at Kelly Middle School, 25 Mahan Drive, Norwich. The concert celebrates Norwich Public Schools in two ways this year. The Foundation's After-School Music Program students will display their musical talents in concert. In addition, the Foundation will present sets of books to each NPS school as well as present Kelly Middle School with physical education equipment.

All NPS teachers, parents and community leaders interested in helping the Foundation support Norwich Public Schools are encouraged to attend our next meeting: THURSDAY APRIL 11 at 6PM at CENTRAL OFFICE as we continue in our mission to "fund the advancement of Norwich Public School students". No amount of participation is too small. Your voice is valuable so take an hour to make a huge difference. The Foundation awards thousands of dollars in grants for student achievement to NPS teachers and sponsors After-School Music at Kelly and Teachers' Memorial.

One Person Can Make a Difference for Norwich Public Schools! Ok - in our case it was two people! When budget cuts hit Norwich Public Schools 3 years ago, current Foundation members Barbara Zegarzewski and Denielle Beaudet leapt into action and raised over $1,500 with a simple tag sale. Inspired by the difference they were able to make, they co-founded the Norwich Public Schools Education Foundation.

You are cordially invited to the 2nd annual 'Norwich Community Concert' at 6:30pm on Friday December 7, 2012 at the beautiful Jacqueline Owens Auditorium at Kelly Middle School, 25 Mahan Drive, Norwich, CT. Featured groups include: Kelly & Teachers' Memorial After-School Music Program; American Legion Post 4 Color Guard; NFA Chorus; NFA Concert Band; Norwich Arts Center Band; and the UCONN Jazz Band. Admission is FREE - suggested donation only.

After-School Music Registration - Financial Assistance Available

It's not too late to register for After-School Music at Kelly & Teachers' Memorial Middle Schools. Lessons are $20 per month and financial assistance is available. Student does not have to be part of ASPIRE to participate. Registration forms available at www.npseducationfoundation.org; www.norwichpublicschools.org or call 860-367-1812. Return completed forms to ASPIRE teacher or KMS / TMMS main office.
