The Norwich Public Schools Education Foundation is pleased to offer grants in support of Norwich Public Schools student achievement for Fall 2023!
School Community Grant
The Norwich Public Schools Education Foundation is offering up to $1,500 in one or more School Community Grants. School Community Grants support student instruction, achievement, and enrichment as well as parent, guardian, and Norwich community involvement. A single grant application may be for less than $1,500. A single application may be submitted by one or more NPS staff members.
Mini-Grants
The Norwich Public Schools Education Foundation is also offering up to eight (8) Mini-Grants up to $250 each. Mini-Grants will be awarded for grants that support Norwich Public Schools student achievement. Mini-Grant applications may be for less than $250. A single Mini-Grant application may be submitted by one or more NPS staff members.
Get Involved!
The Norwich Public Schools Education Foundation invites any NPS Staff members to get involved with the Foundation’s mission of supporting the Norwich Public Schools in providing a challenging and enriching educational experience that maximizes the learning potential of every NPS student and prepares each NPS student to succeed in the 21st century.

The Foundation is pleased to announce the award of $1,468 to Norwich Public Schools classrooms for the following grants in support of NPS student achievement and enrichment:
Native Pollinator Garden at Kelly STEAM Magnet Middle School
Greenhouse Project at Stanton Elementary School
Grade Appropriate Vocabulary Instr. Materials at Uncas Elementary
Ease Makerspace at Teachers’ Memorial Global Studies Magnet Middle School

The Norwich Public Schools Education Foundation once again expresses its appreciation for Charter Oak Federal Credit Union‘s generosity in awarding funds for the purchase of guided reading books. Thanks to Charter Oak, Norwich Public Schools purchased and provided all Grade Three NPS teachers across the NPS District with guided reading books connected to the science curriculum in Grade Three. The books also develop science content knowledge, academic and content vocabulary, and interdisciplinary connections between Reading and Science.

Get your gas at The Giving Pump – Pump #2 at the Norwichtown Shell! 1 cent per gallon of gas purchased at Pump No. 2 until January 31 will be donated to the NPS Education Foundation to support Norwich Public Schools student achievement and enrichment!
The NPS Ed. Foundation has awarded over $112,850 in grants to NPS classrooms in support of student achievement and enrichment!

Staff Follies a Success!
Thank you for attending the 7th Norwich Public Schools Staff Follies! The Staff Follies is a family friendly community event celebrating the great staff and students of Norwich Public Schools! Our NPS teachers, staff, and administrators always go the extra mile for our great NPS students and that was clearly on display Friday night! The Kelly STEAM Magnet Middle School Band got us started with some wonderful music! Then, acts from Kelly, Stanton Elementary School, Teachers’ Memorial Global Studies Magnet Middle School, Moriarty Environmental Sciences Magnet School, Mahan Elementary School & Family Resource Center, Wequonnoc Arts & Technology Magnet School, and even Norwich Free Academy entertained with amazing skills in dance, singing, and music! It was a wonderful time for all and the Foundation raised money for future grants to NPS classrooms supporting student achievement!
