NPS Education Foundation extends its appreciation and gratitude to the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut for awarding a grant to the NPS Education Foundation for a Shared Music Library for Norwich Public Schools band and chorus, benefiting all Norwich Public Schools students in NPS grades 4–8. Updated materials will allow teachers to select music that is age-appropriate, musically engaging and aligned with curriculum goals. These resources will support ensemble performance, music literacy, collaboration and critical listening skills. Students will engage with music that reflects global traditions, contemporary voices and historically underrepresented composers alongside more traditional repertoire.
