2012-2013 After-school Music Program

The Norwich Public Schools Education Foundation and Norwich Public Schools are pleased to announce instrumental music lessons will be offered after school, once per week, for students at Kelly and Teachers’ Memorial Middle Schools.

  • Brass, Woodwinds, and Percussion
    Group lessons including Flute; Clarinet; Saxophone; Trombone;Percussion.

  • No Experience Necessary
    Any student attending either Kelly or Teachers’ Memorial is welcome regardless of experience.

  • Stay at School / Buses Home Provided
    Students stay after school in a supervised setting and can work on homework until their music lesson begins at 3:45pm. Buses will bring students home starting at 4:45pm.

  • Lessons: September to June (check back soon for exact dates)
    Group lessons are led by Norwich Public School music faculty and occur Tuesdays at Kelly and Wednesday’s at Teachers’ Memorial from 3:45pm to 4:45pm

  • $20 per Month per Student
    Lessons are $20 per month per student. Lessons can be paid for weekly; monthly; or Discounted Rate for entire year pre-pay: $180

  • Instruments
    Students can rent brass or woodwind instruments from several different vendors. A limited number instruments are available on a need basis.

  • FREE Field Trip to see the 300-member UConn Marching Band perform at UConn in Storrs, CT
